Knoll Drive Homeless Shelter

Working in close partnership with all stakeholders, AKA adapted the ground floor of an unused office building to serve as a permanent shelter. AKA turned the original dark and outdated space into a welcoming and comfortable shelter for the residents, with bright and efficient workspace for the staff.

 

Shelter includes:

• Sleeping space for men and women

• Toilet / shower facilities for men and women

• Community dining and gathering rooms

• Commercial kitchen (limited)

• Laundry facilities

• Office and meeting space for the staff 

• Storage area for resident’s belongings

• Outdoor patios

• Dog kennels and exercise yard
